XaSha

she left a big hole in our hearts and it has been hard to get through. She had a third bloat and we couldn't let her suffer anymore of these being a tired old lady. So I held her in my arms when she crossed over and I hope I helped her that way - we miss her so so much. She was the one that made it through to my husband heart so that more Chows could also come into our lives. Thank you XaSha you did it all for me and I love you so much dear friend!!

XaSha brought more smiles in our house. She was dearly loved by us, our families and even colleagues.
She has always been impossible to let loose BUT she was very easy taught given time and patience and lot of "meatballs". She loved to hunt and she was very well in bloodtraceing since she was only in it for the trace not for the kill or animal.
Her favorite friend must have been Baccus, a big leonberger boy. They could play for hours and he was always so kind to let her be on the top or the one on his tail. (Then she got Vicki in her tail)
We have had a lot of compliments on her looks - so even though that a lot of breeders and judges don't like her looks then we know that there was a lot of ordinary people (like me and my husband) out there that simply couldn't get enough of her.
Her temper was perfect and she was very good with children. Even when she hadn't met the children before they could chase her and hug her and pet her which they of course loved eventhough that XaSha looked at me saying: "Do they have to?" and I had to say: "Yes XaSha, we are not here for long but for that time you have to be kind to the children" And then she made a big sigh. One good things about children is that they are in the right height.... and they crumble quite a lot....and when they are not looking it's very easy to steal from them. Ohh yes and she was very skilled in it!!!
We was in TV3 for entering a TVprogram, unfortunately XaSha was newly operated and therefore still full of antibiothics and painkillers and not really herself, so we never got further than getting interviewed and filmed .......to my big disappointment. I would have loved to show people out there in their living rooms how wonderful the Chow Chow breed is and that they actually is rather easy to teach if you have PATIENCE.... We do and we have even trained a little "freestyle" too and eventhough it's a couple of years ago, she dídn't forget it!!
One have to remember that we are talking about Chow Chow and we tend to see the Chow as a cat. Then it's much easier because we know what to expect. They'll do it when they feel for it - and that is the way that it should be since this is a Chow Chow and not a "for example" German Shepherd. We shall love the Chow Chow for what she is and try to teach new owners about the Chow Chow and if this breed is actually what they need or want. One should never break a Chow into a military dog because then one take away all that the Chow Chow is. This is OUR opinion!!
She had everything that we could wish for in a Chow Chow, the only thing missing was more healthy joints and elbows. But we loved her just as much no matter what. We are in it for life whenever we took her and others into our lives.
She was stubborn & strong & loveable as few and she meant the world to us.
